Sorting the returned media is a time-consuming process for medium and large reference libraries. According to the signatory, books often have to be presorted in several work process steps before they can finally be placed back into the bookshelf.
That is where MESO (Media Compilation and Sorting) starts off: It takes over the inconvenient presort of the media, generates a sorted list according to the library's bookshelf configuration and supports the sorting process by software as well as by optical visualization.
In brief: MESO speeds up the processes and takes some of the work load
off the library's staff.
